Alchemy is considered the "Mother of the Sciences." Its principles are used in Psychology, Metaphysics and all forms of Medicine. Alchemy is also called Hermeticism. The goal of the Alchemists\Hermetics is to produce the Philosopher's Stone. In Spiritual Alchemy, which is our main focus, this is accomplished by balancing the elements within the human psyche. In Ritual Magick, the elements are balanced within the magick circle. Hermetic knowledge has always been a part of all religions and alternative health systems.
Every religion, for its teachings to be spiritually effective, must lead its practitioners to what the Alchemists call the Philosopher's Stone. Every system of Health, must, to be effective, aid the individual in attaining the Elixir of Life.
