If a landlord decides they don't like your religious practices, including Witchcraft, Vodou, any form of Magick, Prayer, etc., this is against the law. For the purposes of this document, a landlord is anyone that you pay rent to. It does not matter if they are a relative, friend, or just an acquaintance. There are a few things you can do that don't cost anything:
1. File a complaint with the Fair Housing Department in your area. They can (and usually will) fine the landlord for their discriminatory practices and tell the landlord to stop. If the landlord continues, keep filing complaints. If the landlord takes any negative action against you, like an eviction, file a complaint about that too with the same agency. This is known as "Retaliation" and is illegal.
