In Christian Evocation, whether we are talking about the Goetia or the Abramelin Operation, it is common practice to try to subjugate the spirits. The basic method entails commanding them to appear, swearing them to obedience and compelling them to do as the practitioner wishes...all in the name of the Christian God.
Not only is the Christian form of Evocation very time consuming and costly, often requiring a consecrated Circle or Temple and other expensive supplies, but it is downright dangerous! Some practitioners approaching the spirits in this way have even died, as stepping outside one's consecrated Circle while an angry spirit is around can cause great harm, or even death to the practitioner.
The Satanic approach to the spirits is much gentler and safer. It involves calling upon the spirit in a manner that shows mutual respect. The spirit(s) are asked for their assistance (in accord with their various specialties, skills and types of knowledge) and paid for their services. This payment is never one's "Soul", contrary to the claims made by Christian sources. Instead, it is Spiritual Energy. This can be in the form of Incense, Fervent Prayer, or any other method of raising energy (many methods can be found in various places on this website). They may also ask for an altar, their name mentioned to others in a manner that encourages others to work with them, etc. All of these are fairly easy to accomplish, effective and safe. This approach is what will be taught here.
