Zoroastrianism was founded by a man named Zoroaster. He is also known as Zarathustra. The first appearance in recorded History of Zoroastrianism was sometime in the 5th Century, BCE.
The primary deity of this religion is Ahura Mazda, meaning "Creator of Mind". He is the god of Life and personifies Light and Goodness in the World.
The most important sacred texts of this religion are the Avesta, Gathas and the Yasna.
The purpose of the Yasna Ceremony is to maintain the Cosmic Integrity of the good Creation of Ahura Mazda. Another way of putting this, I believe, is to keep Positive Energy flowing into the World, creating and maintaining Harmony. The normal practice of this ceremony takes three or more hours. I've devised a ritual that, I believe, accomplishes the same thing, but can be performed in about five minutes.
This is not to say the original ritual does not have its place, only that there are alternatives available within our Order for members who wish to follow this Path, but do not have the time for a regular performance of such a long ritual. The ritual to accomplish this is called the Ritual of the Fire Temple. More rituals will be added to this section as time permits.
