Donors are people that offer their time, energy and\or blood to satisfy the needs of the Vampire. Here are some guidelines for working with Donors:

There needs to be open and honest communication. It should be clearly understood between both the Vampire and Donor up front what the Vampire’s needs are, what the Donor is offering, and what their personal boundaries are. No Donor should ever be made to feel uncomfortable with either the Relationship or the methods of Feeding.

Also, both the Vampire and Donor should make it a point to check up on the nature of the Relationship. Are both parties still comfortable with the Relationship? Are there any potential concerns from either party? Etc.

Another possibility that must be considered is Addiction. It is possible for the Vampire to become addicted not only to the Donor’s energy or blood, but also to his or her emotional qualities. Likewise, the Donor may become addicted to the feeling of being fed from (depending on the nature of the Vampire, these feelings can be very sexual, very calming, or any number of feelings\sensations). This is something that needs to be considered during the whole relationship by both parties.

It is also important for both parties to maintain any agreed upon discretion regarding the other person and the nature of their relationship. If it has not been agreed upon that the details may be shared, then the best rule is Silence until those things are discussed between both the Vampire and Donor, and an understanding is reached between them. This is one of the things that should be discussed in the beginning by both parties.
