The One Thing is the Soul in Man. It is also the Soul of any other thing. All things, whether animate or inanimate have a soul. It is also called the First Matter. It is the subtlest part of the essence governed by the One Mind. It is the energy that is expressed in our emotions and also affects them. It is the energy that gives us life – the Life Force itself.
