1 When men began to multiply on the face of the ground, and daughters were born to them,
2 the sons of the Gods saw that the daughters of men were fair; and they took to wife such of them as they chose.
The circumstances before the Flood were that there was a mixing of the Line of Cain with the Line of Seth (Materialism and Spirituality), an unstable environment was produced. There were beings with spiritual power that were just as power hungry as the Materialists and there were Materialists corrupting the Spiritual teachings.
3 Then YHVH said, "My Spirit shall not abide in man for ever, for he is flesh, but his days shall be a hundred and twenty years."
“He who is” acknowledged the fading interest in true spiritual evolution presented by the current pattern of Man’s actions. He shortened human life in direct response to this.
4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of the Gods came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown.
The spiritually empowered materialists (born of the mix of the Line of Cain and the Line of Seth) continued reproducing and growing in number. This new group possessed spiritual power but were corrupted by material and spiritual greed. There are still people that fall into this group in existence today.
5 YHVH saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
This group threatened the entire scheme of creation because of their powers and corruption.
6 And YHVH was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart.
7 So YHVH said, "I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the ground, man and beast and creeping things and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them."
YHVH attempted to remove this group from the planet. This was the motive behind the coming Flood.
8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of YHVH.
Noah means “Rest” and symbolizes the state of Meditation. This state is the preferred state, compared to the former corrupted one. The forces of creation, symbolized by YHVH, honor those who achieve it.
9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation; Noah walked with the Gods.
When the mind is at rest, as meditation symbolizes, it is pure, free from Ego, free from worries, etc. and merges with the collective forces of creation that initially gave it existence.
10 And Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
From taking the path of Meditation, symbolized by Noah, comes reverence for the name of the collective forces of creation, YHVH. This reverence for the name is symbolized by Shem. Ham means “Hot” and symbolizes the fervency of prayer used by those who choose this path. Japheth means “enlarge” and symbolizes the expansion of consciousness that comes from following this path of Meditation and Prayer.
11 Now the earth was corrupt in sight of the Gods, and the earth was filled with violence.
Because of the beings produced by mixing the Line of Cain and the Line of Seth, the earth was a very violent place filled with power hungry people who misused spiritual power and continuously fought over land.
12 And Gods saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.
The spiritual forces saw the state the world was in because of the humans that had corrupted the world.
13 And Gods said to Noah, "We have determined to make an end of all flesh; for the earth is filled with violence through them; behold, We will destroy them with the earth.
The result of the misuse of spiritual power to live Egocentrically, holding the creative forces under your will all the time to dominate others, is destruction.
14 Make yourself an ark of gopher wood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch.
15 This is how you are to make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.
16 Make a roof for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above; and set the door of the ark in its side; make it with lower, second, and third decks.
The ark symbolizes the purified aura, which protects the Soul from destruction from the influences of others and purifies the Self.
17 For behold, We will bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life from under heaven; everything that is on the earth shall die.
The flood symbolizes the destruction to Self and environment that is produced by the mixing of the Line of Seth with the Line of Cain, which produced a line that misused spiritual power for personal ends.
18 But we will establish my covenant with you; and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you.
The covenant with the forces of creation begins with the meditative state, respect for the forces of creation, fervent prayer, the expansion of consciousness and the other experiences from these things.
19 And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female.
20 Of the birds according to their kinds, and of the animals according to their kinds, of every creeping thing of the ground according to its kind, two of every sort shall come in to you, to keep them alive.
The animals symbolize the animal instincts that you bring under control during meditation. They remain alive to survive the annihilation of corruption, but are subdued by the divine consciousness produced near the beginning of this path.
21 Also take with you every sort of food that is eaten, and store it up; and it shall serve as food for you and for them."
The food symbolizes the resources that sustain the individual for as long as they live. These resources also sustain the other parts of the personality.
22 Noah did this; he did all that Gods commanded him.
Noah obeying symbolizes the passive state of consciousness that is the meditative state in the face of the Forces of Creation.
