Ineptus Major is from Latin words meaning “Great Trifler”. It corresponds to a state of mind that has even less control over their emotions, passions, and instincts. The mind at this level is very corrupted by the lower nature.
On the Tree of Death, This level of consciousness corresponds with the sphere called the Pit of Corruption. It is ruled by Golochab, meaning “Flaming Ones” or “Arsonists”. Golochab symbolizes the destructive nature of people at this level of consciousness. They are prone to committing violence against others. At this level of awareness, the calcination often takes the form of being thrown in jail or suffering some form of loss because of their actions.
In order to rise to the next degree, Ineptus Minor, the individual must acknowledge that he\she has problems with self-control and begin working to correct the problems. However, usually at this level, other measures are needed such as psychological counseling to help facilitate the process. Though, the first step is acknowledging that there is a problem that must be corrected and making a commitment to work on it. If the individual does not acknowledge and correct the problems at this level of consciousness, he\she could fall to an even lower state called Ineptus Terminus.
This degree is the opposite of Adeptus Major.
