1. Relax the mind and body.
2. Visualize pure, white light flooding your aura, purifying it.
3. Visualize the Cho Ku Rei symbol in the Crown Chakra. Invoke it by either mentally or verbally chanting its name “Show Koo Ray” three times.
4. Visualize the Cho Ku Rei symbol in the Root Chakra. Invoke it by either mentally or verbally chanting its name “Show Koo Ray” three times.
5. Visualize the Cho Ku Rei symbol at the back of your head, in the Brow Chakra. Invoke it by mentally or verbally chanting its name three times.
6. Visualize the Cho Ku Rei symbol behind you, just above the Root Chakra, in the Sacral (also sometimes called the “Genital”) Chakra. Invoke it by mentally or verbally chanting its name three times.
7. Visualize the Cho Ku Rei symbol at the back of your throat, in the Throat Chakra. Invoke it by mentally or audibly chanting its name three times.
8. Visualize the Cho Ku Rei symbol at the back of your solar plexus. Invoke it by chanting its name three times.
9. Visualize the Cho Ku Rei symbol behind your chest, in the middle of your back, within the Heart Chakra. Invoke it by chanting its name either mentally or verbally three times.
10. Visualize the Cho Ku Rei symbol in the Root Chakra. Invoke it by either mentally or verbally chanting its name “Show Koo Ray” three times.
11. Visualize the Cho Ku Rei symbol on your forehead, in the Brow Chakra. Invoke it by mentally or verbally chanting its name three times.
12. Visualize the Cho Ku Rei symbol in the area your genitals are, just above the Root Chakra, in the Spleen Chakra. Invoke it by mentally or verbally chanting its name three times.
13. Visualize the Cho Ku Rei symbol at the front of your throat, in the Throat Chakra. Invoke it by mentally or audibly chanting its name three times.
14. Visualize the Cho Ku Rei symbol at the front of your solar plexus. Invoke it by chanting its name three times.
15. Visualize the Cho Ku Rei symbol in the middle of your chest, within the Heart Chakra. Invoke it by chanting its name either mentally or verbally three times.
16. One at a time, invoke the Cho Ku Rei symbol into the chakra in the palm of each hand in the manner described above (visualize the symbol and chant its name three times).
17. One at a time, invoke the Cho Ku Rei symbol into the chakra at the bottom of each foot, as described above.
Cho Ku Rei is Japanese for, “Place all the power of the Universe HERE!”
The Horizontal line at the top of the symbol represents the Divine Source of the Reiki Energy. The Vertical line represents the natural flow of the energy through the chakras, which are represented by the Spiral.
