1:1 The Revelation of Yeshua the Messiah, which the gods gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
1:2 Who bare record of the word of the gods, and of the testimony of Yeshua the Messiah, and of all things that he saw.
This prophecy is a written account of John’s visionary\spiritual experience while in a state of mind that allowed divine inspiration to come to him. In modern terms, we’d say he was either meditating or engaged in some other spiritual practice like astral projection or skrying.
1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
This prophecy contains practical information that is meant to be used by those who read it. Those who use the information are given spiritual benefit\blessing.
1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
1:5 And from Yeshua the Messiah, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto Gods and their Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
John is mentally recounting his understanding of Yeshua’s teachings, that once purified of our lower nature, we are all priests of the Father of the Gods and rulers with him. However, the part of the Father that lies within must be brought to the surface first.
1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Bringing our part of the Father to the surface of our consciousness is what this book is all about. The wailing of the people of the earth means that the process of transfiguration is not easy, even though it’s rewards are great.
1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith YHVH Elohim, who is, and who was, and who shall be, the Almighty.
YHVH Elohim is the source of all things, and all things return to YHVH Elohim always.
1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Yeshua the Messiah, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of the gods, and for the testimony of Yeshua the Messiah.
John identifies himself as being a true follower of Yeshua, and experiencing the same spiritual and mental problems that were confronted by Yeshua.
1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
1:11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
This knowledge was intended by Yeshua to be taught openly to everyone. On a more personal level, the spiritual understanding is that the message is meant to be carried through the entire psyche through the seven chakras, which are here symbolized by the seven churches.
1:12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
The seven candlesticks symbolize the seven churches which are the seven chakras in Man. The one that is like unto the Son of Man is the Higher Self, the spiritual soul of the individual.
1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
1:15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
The voice that is as the sound of many waters is the many thoughts of the individual.
1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
The seven stars in the right hand symbolize the energy of the seven chakras of the individual, showing that the Higher Self has control of them. The Sword coming out of his mouth symbolizes the power of the spoken word and focused Thought, both having the power to heal or harm, according to the Will of the individual.
1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of Sheol and of Death.
This is the full description of Yeshua as seen by John in his spiritual experience. Parts of that description, each being relevant to a specific chakra, are repeated throughout this prophecy. Each will be interpreted at each place in which it occurs. What is going on here is that John has completed the spiritual work described, and is explaining it to others through his spiritual revelation, giving it as a guide for others to follow in order to obtain the same connection with the Father of the Gods that he has found.
1:19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
The right hand represents action. This can be verified by looking at descriptions elsewhere in the bible that mention “God’s right hand”. The seven stars represent the angels, which are themselves divine energies contained within those chakras. The candlesticks symbolize the chakras themselves.
