11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of the gods, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

Measuring means to evaluate one’s spiritual progress.  The temple is the body of the individual.  The Altar is the Spiritual Consciousness.  Those that worship in the temple are the spiritual thoughts of the individual. You can measure your spiritual progress by keeping a journal of your work and using it to make personal evaluations from time to time.

11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

The court symbolizes the thoughts of the lower nature of the individual.  These are not a part of the Spiritual Consciousness that is growing within him or her. The number Forty Two is Seven times Six, which is Perfection times the number of Man.  Forty Two is the number associated with Spiritual Oppression. According to Gematria (Numerology), This means that the nature of the lower thoughts is to oppress the Spiritual Consciousness. These thoughts are to be ignored at this time.

11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

The Two Witness are the Soul and Spirit, who together symbolize Divine Union.  The number 1000 is the number of Divine Completeness.  200 is the number of Insufficiency.  30 is the number of Dedication.  1,230 is thus a number that signifies continuing to practice spiritual purification, though we may never be able to fully manifest the Glory of God.  The message here is for the individual to remain dedicated to their Path and not allow themselves to become discouraged if little or no progress is seen right away.

11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Two symbolizes Divine Union.  Olive Trees symbolize Inner Peace, whereas the candlesticks are sources of Spiritual Light or Enlightenment.  Here, they symbolize the Two Witnesses, the Spirit and Soul.

11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

Spirit and soul are eternal.  They are our Source.  Should any person try to destroy them, they will only destroy themselves.

11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

The source of all the plagues is the blockage of the Soul and Spirit (life force).  Soul and Spirit must be allowed free expression or sickness will be the result.  As long as the soul and spirit are allowed to flow freely, Health manifests.

11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

Remember that to prophesy means to actively practice spiritual transformation toward enlightenment.  When this is no longer being done, then the corruption within the psyche overcomes the Soul and Spirit and death eventually results.

11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Sodom means “hidden wiles” and signifies sinful or bad habits.  Egypt is the seat of Life Force and can occasionally become a source of mental, emotional and spiritual blocks.  The force that can temporarily destroy (actually, block) the Soul and Spirit is thus the blockage of life force caused by hidden thoughts that are not in harmony with the Divine.

11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

The Soul and Spirit, once they surface, cannot be reburied.  Their death signifies disempowerment of the individual, which happens only when the individual puts their physical desires above their spiritual practices and lives a purely materialistic life.

11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

With the Soul and Spirit rendered inactive, corruption reigns supreme within the individual.  This is only temporary, as the Soul and Spirit are eternal.

11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of Life from the Gods entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

The three and a half days signifies the completion of a spiritual process.  This is another depiction of the Abyss, in which the Soul and Spirit are flooded with forces that have been stored deep in the subconscious by the individual.  The purpose of this part of the process of enlightenment is to bring these forces to light so they may be destroyed within the individual.

11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

The Soul and Spirit being called up to heaven means they return to the surface of consciousness within the individual.

11:13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the god of the heavens.

The tenth part of this city, which signifies a blockage of the life force by beliefs that are not in harmony with the Divine, falling signifies further spiritual purification of the individual.  Seven Thousand signifies the final judgment of the Father on Man.  Specifically, this refers to the sorting of the spiritual thoughts and the profane ones.  Only the spiritual ones can be allowed to remain, while the profane ones must be destroyed.  This process is further exemplified by the remaining people, signifying the thoughts of the individual, praying to the Divine.

11:14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of the world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Messiah; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

The seventh angel sounding signifies the completion of the spiritual purification process.  This is further exemplified by the “great voices in heaven”, which signify spiritual thoughts, stating that the psyche (kingdoms of the earth) has been purified (become the kingdoms of our Lord and his Messiah).

11:16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before the gods on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshiped gods,

11:17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O YHVH God of Hosts, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

The twenty-four elders giving thanks and worshiping YHVH signifies the spiritual empowerment of the twenty-four cranial nerves that empower the Third Eye of the individual.

11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

The angry nations signify the rebellious parts of the psyche.  The dead needing to be judged are the thoughts which were not in harmony with the Divine.  Those that destroy the earth are the thoughts of greed and material gain through selfish means, at the expense of others and the Earth.  All these must be destroyed.  Within the individual, these are thoughts.  In the larger scheme of things, they are the greedy people of the Earth and refer to both individuals and corporations.  The saints, prophets and “those that fear thy name” are those that practice spirituality and Compassion.  These refer to thoughts within the individual, as well as spiritual people on Earth.  Both need to be empowered.

11:19 And the temple of the gods was opened in heavens, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

The physical body has now reached a level of cleansing, vibration, and attunement to become the temple of the gods.  If this prophesy is applied toward the planet, then the whole earth can be cleansed in this manner.
