16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of the gods upon the earth.
The vials of the wrath of the gods represent the karma earned by the individual who has transgressed the laws of the gods. They are the consequences of our negative thoughts, words and deeds.
16:2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshiped his image.
The sore represents the decaying of the un-evolved forces of selfishness.
16:3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
The souls in the sea signify self-exaltation, doubt, and fear. They lose all their energy, which is symbolized here by them becoming as the “blood of a dead man” or depleted. These can no longer function within the psyche.
16:4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
The fountains or waters becoming blood symbolize the destruction of anger, impulsive reactions, and materialistic urges.
16:5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Holy One, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.
The angel complimenting the Holy One signifies the spiritual energies of the chakras empowering the spiritual consciousness in the individual. This is a direct result of the purification process.
16:6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
Whatever destroys the spiritual progress of either the self or another will only bring suffering on him or herself. This suffering is symbolized by the blood that the impure are given to drink by the Divine.
16:7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, YHVH Elohim of Hosts, true and righteous are thy judgments.
These three passages represent the new pattern of thought, which is born in the solar plexus chakra.
16:8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
The power to scorch men with fire means that the energy of this center now has the power to remove materialistic ideas from the psyche.
16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of gods, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
The forces’ blaspheming the name of gods means that they did not evolve, so they will be destroyed.
16:10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
16:11 And blasphemed the God of the Heavens because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
The darkness and pain in their tongues symbolize the removal of thoughts of self-exaltation, self-aggrandizement, and self-glorification being again reduced to make way for more spiritual\divine thoughts, words, and actions.
16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Phrat; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
Phrat means, “to make fruitful” and symbolizes knowledge given to the lower nature. The struggle of the crown chakra between the material and spiritual is reduced by the energy of that chakra at this stage in development. The way of the east is a symbol for spiritual evolution\purification.
16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
The three unclean spirits symbolize the nature of the un-evolved forces of the ego becoming clearer to the individual, making them much less appealing.
16:14 For they are the spirits of the shells, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of the God of Hosts.
The purpose of the un-evolved forces is to fight the spiritual nature in the individual.
16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
Spirit “coming as a thief,” means that it begins dawning in man much like an epiphany. Those that learn about the process of spiritual development will understand that. Those that do not, will go through the experience without knowing the intricacies of it.
16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
Armegeddon is the spiritual conflict within the individual. This conflict is between the spiritual nature and the un-evolved ego.
16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of the heavens, from the throne, saying, It is done.
The energy of the sixth chakra (third eye) is purified of its inactive nature.
16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
Once this chakra becomes active in the spiritualization process; the whole process quickens, strengthens and raises the vibration of the chakra system. The earthquake symbolizes the surfacing of the soul within the consciousness of the individual.
16:19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before the gods, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
The great city becoming divided by the earthquake, and the fall of the cities and nations symbolize the collapse of social constructs and concepts, leaving only universal truth to be realized.
16:20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
The islands signify selfishness and the mountains symbolize lofty states of self-praise. Both are reduced to nothingness by the Spiritual Consciousness.
16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed the gods because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
The hail from heaven symbolizes the crystallization of universal truths within the psyche. This further reduced the materialistic ideas and concepts that had been so strong in the psyche previously.
